She stretches every day. Her spiral still won't go above her hip.

Here's why, and what actually fixes it.

Flexibility isn't a muscle problem. It's a nervous system problem. Dr. Jena Hansen-Honeycutt, DAT, ATC, movement specialist built these tools for skating families who are doing everything right and still feel stuck.

Empowering Parents and Figure Skaters

If you’ve ever wondered:

"Is my skater strong enough for what they’re trying to do?"

"How do I help without pushing too hard?"

"What actually works off the ice?"

You are in the right place.

If her coach keeps mentioning flexibility and you have no idea what to do at home, you're in the right place.

We help parents and skaters aged 7–13 build the foundations for strength, balance, and coordination with age-appropriate off-ice training that actually works. Whether you're navigating jump prep, imbalance, or meltdowns after practice, we give you the tools to support your child’s growth confidently.

Why It Works:

The nervous system controls how much flexibility the body allows. When it doesn't feel safe, even at home on a normal day — it holds on.

Stretching harder makes it worse.

These programs work with that signal, not against it.

Built by a Doctor of Athletic Training with 12+ years working with dancers and skaters

Grounded in neuromuscular science, not outdated stretching methods.

Designed for skaters ages 7–13 — not adult programs scaled down

Welcome, I'm Jena!

I’m Jena Hansen-Honeycutt, Doctor of Athletic Training and movement specialist with over a decade of experience helping kids and teens build strength, resilience, and confidence through smart, safe training.

I focus on injury prevention, breathing pattern correction, and functional strength—so kids can move well, feel empowered, and thrive on and off the ice.
